If you read his post and then read mine, i don't think you'll find any problem.
What i meant was that in some entries in which custom shapes are used, most of the shapes are freeware.

Its not my duty to tell the contest holder whose entry is made from scratch etc. As you pointed out, one can easily see that.

And keep your reminders to yourself next time, I know the rules and I don't break them. I hate when people have enough courage to speak out when something is wrong but they are not brave enough to let you know who exactly they are referring to therefore in the act they make everyone on here look bad by just generalizing their statements to include every designer on here as if we are all guilty of breaking the rules.

My entries are made from scratch, and I'd appreciate it if next time you make a comment like "I think most of the shapes used here are freeware" that you be more specific of who exactly you are talking about. I mean it doesn't take a genius to see who did and who did not produce original work. So next time you make a comment like that, at least give credit where credit is due and don't lump me in with everyone else.

I get your point but...
Most of the custom shapes are created by users of photoshop. They are royalty free and you can use them for any purpose. You can obtain them free of cost from the adobe exchange. However certain shapes like the ones already in photoshop or shapes made by other companies must not be used if a usage limitation is set by that company.

I think most of the shapes used here are freeware.

I may or may not be entering, but I would like to remind all designers of one thing:

All fonts, photoshop brushes, or photoshop "custom shapes" that are animals and may (read: certainly) have been used to create some entries are illegal and could cause certain legal repercussions to the contest holder if the creator and/or distributor of said brushes/fonts/shapes ever found out that you used them to make a profit. It would be in your best interest as a designer to not submit an entry that you yourself did not create from scratch.

Just a side note. This also would explain if and why many entries look identical. I have not taken the time to look at all of the entries, but I have noticed a general "similarity" amongst certain animals.
