I am looking for a logo design for a science fiction community.

It should be set up to be [logo] Alt Sci-Fi

The logo should be simple but effective.

Good examples of this are scifi.com and spacecast.com. For more inspiration, I suggest you look at logopond.com.

The logo will be used on the website, and the colours you select will decide the colours of the site, so feel free to use your imagination on colours.

The typography of the text will be very important. I don't want to see any Verdana or some Star Trek font from a free fonts place. I want it to be easy to read, but powerful. 

I don't want only typography as the logo, as I should be able to use the logo separate from the site name, and have it still be easily recognized.

The logo and the typography of Alt Sci-Fi will only be used on the web, so feel free to design it as such.

Alt stands for Alternative (be it different, strange, or trendy). The logo should reflect this.

I will be giving constant feedback during this contest in order to get you guys on track.
