Design brief

Organization name

Building Pilot

Description of business

We originally developed http://www.buildingpilot.com website to navigate Roof anchor inspections, the first online logbook, report and drawing portal. This unique roof anchor inspection Gateway was indented to provide a inspection report exchange with Integrated Building drawings.  The information exchange organizes reports, drawings, operating manuals all successfully managed by a portal administrator.

The benefit of using our  building pilot  inspection navigator allows property management personnel to easily view and send Inspection Reports , Drawings , invoices and statements as needed, using one source.  In short, the building pilot "inspection navigator" is streamlining the communication process with the Inspection Companies, Contractors and the Ministry of labour.  Thereby Simplifying the Complete Inspection Process and Lowering Operating Costs .

Further requirements

Our customers are required to inspect roof anchors annually in order to meet MOL requirements. The inspection process dictates that building managers organize and maintain inspection reports ,drawings and other related documents and make them available to the window cleaner, maintenance contractors and the MOL inspector .

The primary goal of the portal was to  eliminate re-gathering or re-sending of inspection reports, documents and drawing. It was determined that maintaining a paper based report file or binder system was expensive, outdated & time consuming.

Our mission in developing the BUILDING PILOT was to have " One copy of the control document in the Claud"  allowing people to come to the document.

We thought - THERE MUST BE A BETTER WAY!!

We have built this portal tailored specifically to managing roof anchor inspections, suited to the operational needs of Our customers.

Although we built the portal to manage roof anchor inspections the technology can be developed to manage all types of inspections and projects. The portal includes a powerful social interface, collaboration tool using  "chatter technology" that will tag dynamic data by one or more parties creating a unique communication platform.

"Our goal is to develop a social building portal, that allows managers, owners and contractors to collaborate and track control documents using a managed approach. "
