Designers usually withdraw designs when they think they’re no longer in the running for your prize, or don’t want to be involved with the contest for some other reason.

There are plenty of reasons designers may not want to be involved in a contest: they might feel out of their depth, unfairly treated, or just feel that the contest holder isn’t running the contest particularly well.
