In most design contests, feel free to use whichever fonts you like!

The exception to this is logotype contests — in these contests, you must provide your own, original font. This can be based on another font, as long as the font’s license allows for such derivations.

If you are using an unmodified commercial font in any contest, we would expect that you would provide it in outline format, which means that you don’t have to provide the font itself. If the contest holder requires the font files, they’ll need to purchase the font.
