Going for the gold!

The 99designs community is full of talented designers and in the spirit of excellence we are excited to announce our Gold designer program which provides exclusive access to Gold contests with select benefits.

What are Gold contests?

On the browse contests page, you’ll see contests with a Gold icon. These Gold contests are special because:

  • They have the highest prizes
  • They are always guaranteed after the qualifying round
  • Only Gold designers can enter them
  • AND they have new finalist prizes

What are finalist prizes?

With every Gold contest, in addition to the 1st prize, there’s a new ‘finalist pool’ that will be shared by designers that are selected for the final round. The finalist pool is 15% of the total prize so if for example, the total prize amount is $1000 and you were 1 of 2 finalists, you’d get $75 just for being selected. If you go on to win the contest you get both the first prize and your share of the prize pool ($850 first prize + $75 finalist prize).

How do I become a Gold designer?

It’s simple, just focus on producing great designs!

For the past several months we have been reviewing all winning designers and hand selecting those who best represent our community culture of quality and professionalism. We have already sent out the initial Gold invitations – so a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our first group of Gold designers!

If you have not received an invitation don’t worry – our community team will continue to review all winning designers and those that meet our quality and originality standards will be promoted to Gold status.

REMEMBER – it’s NOT about submitting the most designs, it’s about creating considered, high quality, original designs that meet the design brief.

Do this on a regular basis and rest assured, we’ll take notice!

What do you think of our new Gold designer program?
