hello! i’m new here. this is off topic, but just wanted to ask is there a difference in quality of picture created in photoshop and illustrator. I’m new in designing and I have observed that the logo pictures I have submitted is less crisp in color and texture compared to what I have designed in the illustrator. Compared to designs others created, it is relatively low in quality. what I did was Save for web & devices under the JPEG format.
The biggest difference is that Illustrator is a vector program and Photoshop is a raster program. Illustrator is often used for logo designs, illustration, etc. where as Photoshop should mainly be used for photo editing. Some designers prefer Photoshop when handling heavy textures when creating Web site designs but Illustrator is also a great tool for building Web sites. For more on the difference of vector and raster programs, check out this article: http://99designs.com/designer-blog/2011/05/02/vector-vs-raster-images/. If you have any other questions, I am happy to help!
