Don’t just complete it, compete! Check out Philly startup ‘Tutors U’

When talking about high school education, there are those who can compete and there are those who just complete it. Adam Levin, of TutorsU.com, wants to help each and every student compete in gaining access to their ultiomate college of choice.

Company Profile:

Tutors U, set up by Adam Levin, is a brand new Philadelphia based tutoring service. The aim of the company is to offer high-end tutoring that enable students the opportunity for entrance into their college of choice. Furthermore, Tutors U aims to make top class tutoring available to the masses by maintaining competitive and accessible tutoring rates, essentially giving opportunity to those whom may not otherwise be able to receive it.

Tutors U offers the mix of first-class quality with affordability through working with young college students and recent graduates who not only offer the tutoring, but also own and operate the company. Having a business structure that allows for the tutors to be more than mere employees ensures that the standard remains the high. Since launching, Tutors U has also gained credibility through an affiliation with established Philadelphia Tutoring company Tutor Delphia.

The Contest

In order to be exposed to a wide range of design possibilities, Adam Levin launched a contest on 99designs. Looking for a sporting logo that would hopefully attract college bound high school seniors, Adam ran a guaranteed contest that attracted 52 separate designs from 11 designers. The winning logo was one that Adam felt encapsulated the casual yet effective feel of the student run company.  Some essential components included University style square font and some sort of cartoon figure to provide a blend of the serious nature of college application with the accessibility the company offers.

Summary:

A brand new Philadelphia based tutoring company required a new sporty logo to help best sell their services. Tutors U offers the very best quality tutorage at an affordable price. The company is ran and owned by the tutors themselves and therefore ensures that their services are available to everyone by offering sliding tutoring fees. The company aims to target high school seniors and their parents and therefore required a sporty yet effective logo that would appeal to this audience. With over 50 designs to choose from, company CEO Adam Levin was able to select the one that best suited both his taste and the companies requirements.
