    This seems like an interesting contest, but having loads of clouds and mountain ranges in the logo proper? That seems ridiculously complicated - It's no going to be brandable, instantly recognisable or reproducible etc.

    @GrArtist83 you should probably graduate from design college and win one or two competitions before commenting on Guppys designs.

    There is nothing wrong with the kerning in regards to that type of design and if there was it's not really up to you judge it, its the CH's. So stop playing critic and do something better or keep quiet, it's that simple.

    I think GrArtist83 got his numbers messed up. The kerning on #25 is fine, but I think he was really commenting on #75, to be in agreement with the comment above his comment. I think he was trying to say that in #75, the "S" and "T" are a lot further apart than the "R" and "M"...but who knows, who cares- leave it up to the designer and the contest holder to deal with that stuff.

    I apologize if I upset anyone, I did mean #75 not #25, sorry for the mix up. I was only mentioning it because I liked his design, but felt it would be even better if the kerning was better. It was constructive criticism and is what should be expected if you are in this field. However, I will keep them to PM's to prevent anyone from talking it the wrong way or feeling disrespected.     @ 'the peanut gallery' re: #75 - if I made the mountain pointy would you be happy? Oh wait...then my mountain would look like #'s 1-infinity. Maybe take out the snow? Oh wait most mountains have snow...Get a life or PM - thanks.

    PS - I specifically looked at the logo in question before I designed my own to avoid stupid comments as above. I guess peanuts need to have their say.

    Remarkable work MaD - that's a brand and a half! :o

    What's cool is that the icon and the text can both stand alone, but they match perfectly.

    * Normally I wouldn't say anything, but please take note of the many good designs in this contest CH - if you want to bring your patented boards to an international level (and be taken seriously) you HAVE to have a strong brand. The strength of your design is crucial...

    I think this is a very important question:
    What is the age range of your tagret audience?

    I ask simply because no one over the age of 14 is going to rock something like #247 A younger generation definitely might but even that is still in question.

    I may be new to the site and all, but I can't for the life of me understand why people are stressing over other people's designs. I think that time would be better served on working to improve one's own design.

    To Designers: no more five stars - until competition ends. The winner will be awarded the final fifth star. So, as you can see, I have downgraded all five stars to four so as not to bias the judges (my family and friends in the snowboarding community).

    gee thanks eveyone for pointing out at the last minute my design was simliar to another product...since I do not ski snow board or doany boardign what so ever I'm not involved in that commuity...so thanks top PMC for pointing me in the right direction...the design I came up with was purely off the top of my head...

    Damn dude you need to chill. Did you not read the post right before yours.

    The reason I was considering it plagarism was the fact that it was pointed out 4 times in the past 5 days and neither you or the contest holder took any action. This made me think that you didnt care and therefore "borrowing" the ideas of another.

    And since you want to point out facts smart guy, you can be charged for plagarism for uncredited use (both intentional and unintentional) of somebody else's words, ideas, images, sounds, etc..
