Thank you for feedback. Here is updated design. I changed left navigation - added shapes for main categories and list of links with small arrows for subcategories.
I decided to keep only red and orange colors as they are used in your logo. Also I used more bright orange for "want this image" section along with darker grey background to make it more prominent. Feedback is much appreciated.

Regarding design #6
Hi proD4u!
Thanks for your entry.
This is a really good start. I can tell you've taken on board the brief and looked around some other sites.
I like the grey shading and shapes you've introduced. It's fun and playful whilst at the same time because of it's opacity keeps it simple.
I like the navigation along the top. Nice use of shapes.
Google ads blend in well.
I like the way you've displayed the image with the name and rating alongside.
Here's what I think could be improved:
- Left navigation. I think it needs to be more prominent. It's not too clear that it's navigation.
- Main categories in that navigation are big images, little images, your images. Perhaps you could try and illustrate how you show main categories vs. subcategories. I don't know whether different size buttons would help or using the shape you use at the top navigation
- Have a think about use of colour. At the moment there's quite a lot of colours. Does fewer colours look better?
- How can you use colour to draw attention to the 'want this image' box. That's the main call to action which is a little lost at the momentI didn't mention this in the brief but thought I'd let you know that the site can be designed to a 1024 x 768. It doesn't necessarily need to be a fixed width site or fill the whole width.
Look forward to seeing the next iteration.
P

I tried to keep clean style and simplicity of www.innocentdrinks.co.uk, along with using shapes and angles from www.fifthleg.com.au and fun and "cartoonish" style of www.benjerry.com. Feedback is much appreciated.
