yes, mwinn's and a few others' look really professional/shiney, and that's great.... if I had known that that was what they wanted, I would have gone for that... but the description was for a theme (I figured it should be something more than just patriotic symbols... I chose the light of liberty, and the rising sun on our new movement), and a sort of pop-style... So, that's what I tried to deliver. I don't mean to sound like I have hard feelings, because I don't... I think any of these (especially mwinn's and skmarketin's) will look fantastic.... but my one criticism for each of theirs is that, as far as a theme goes, I'd say there's not much substance.

Luckily, this isn't an art showing, and nobody's going to be critiquing the website for conceptual elements (Now if only my school critiques were like that). So it's not a big deal....

I don't mean to sound snobby... that's just what art school does to you I guess.

As for me and my designs.... I'm not a web/graphic designer, so I was just happy for the experience/opportunity to try this and see what I could do. It was fun, and sadly, I have nothing better to do (probably why I submitted so many variations).

Anyways, I can't wait to see which one they picked! It'll look great once it's up and running!

I agree. mwinn did a decent job with a good concept. But, there are 4 or 5 above mwinn's on my list (not including mine). Remember, this contest was also about designing a "theme" that could be applied to other collateral for the event.

The graphics in #69 are quite impressive but the nav is seriously lacking... and I think the main content area should have a traditional scroll bar.. no one likes to click some customized arrow or box or something to scroll; make it work like everything else in the computing world... It's a nice design, I'm a bit confused why everyone is so blown away though..

I would say mwinn's #69 is the best. It should win.

I uploaded some images I made for anything campaignforliberty needs, so they dont have to worry about copyright infringement.

well, I've got to say, I'm done submitting revised designs... I give up....

I also really like mwinn's designs. If that's the one that wins, then I have no regrets!

Elijah from the C4L forums has a gigantic logo file; all filligrees should remain intact with a magic wand selection:

Just passing it along. I wish I had more time to invest in this myself!!

re: the logo I am unable to remove the white background in Photoshop. Its very intricate and the removal takes away parts of the filigree. It is NOT simple. Anyone have it with paths? Daniel how did you photoshop it to work?

    thanks.
