I like this concept. It does come off a little basic. I think if you took the current layout and added artistic tweeks it would really look great. Maybe adding a faint color to the background of the areas below. Using an updated picture. I like also when the top nav starts a little more the to right. Even if it is two stage. I like the layout... If you punch it up visually, we may be on to someting :)

Here's my revision..
Zumofu.. your avitar is a little intimidating :) A few ideas.... The "apply now" decal is not stiking me. I would eliminate it. Utilize more top nav... the side nav is not my thing:) I am not sure what would work... see if you can make the info work on top without being dominating.... Maybe stretch the picture out from the middle to make it a focus with the top nav on top (similar to what you had originally, but just adjust the nav not be all the way accross... or it can be all the way across if it is not in a blocked stripe... not sure) Add the We're Lower on the top...
THe todays rates etc.. needs a little more line "line" to them. WHen I open it up, those areas are a little too white and kinda get lost. Each area should "pop" Love the new picture-like the colors overall. Nice job-

Looking good. I am looking it over and this is what I see... The bottom section in the middle does not fit with the rest of the site. I am not real sure what it is...might be the pic colors. The buttons on the bottom, I would try a color already used on the site to avoid too many colors... maybe the yellow? Also the words that say loan products and Welcome to Capital First... should be a darker blue. I am thinking similar or same to top banner. Please add We're Lower to the top line similar to other designs posted.

Zumofu... I am not scared of the avatar anymore :) THe only thing I can think of at this point is to round the corners on the buttons on the bottom. THe only thing I am struggling with overall is the sides and bottom do not match from an overall design standpoint. The sides seem very modern, and the center bottom seems traditional. It is definanetly strong though. It looks pretty good.
