Red Chilli!
I like this so far. I think if you take the current concept and shift the information around, you may be on to something good. These are my ideas, but I play with it your own way...I am not a designer :) Move left side Nav to top.. Shift center pictures to the left and make them just a little smaller. Take the large picture from the right and make it less long (top to bottom) in the center... THe stuff on the right could be search for rates and market news...The top nav will probably have to be two stage. I think another designer on this contest used that concept with blue and silver. The silver built up from the other nav. The main thing that catches my eye is the pictures in the middle on top of the pictures to the right. I like the rates and so forth on the right side. Make a few move arounds and I think we will be in much better shape. Also, are you able to incorporate the We're Lower in the freestyle script? I actually like your version better than i currently have, but I would have to change everything else over and that would be a nightmare at this point.
also, I like the colors that jkersh used. I don't know if that will translate well to your design, but I really liked his picture/color combination.
Thanks for the feedback. I will be doing something according to your comments. Thanks again.

Revised.
Hi! Looking pretty awesome. Can I see the same layout with the new blue you've incorparated everywhere except the top and bottom of the page. I guess I'm just wondering how it would look with the banners at the top and bottom in "our blue" (the color in our logo) and then the new blue you've used accenting the rest of the page... I might be way off with this one... just wondering how it would like. I've been reviewing these with my marketing manager and I'm sure he'll have some additional feedback that I can give you later today!

Sure, I will submit that one. Thanks for the comment.

Here is the original blue in the logo.
Submitted design #27
original blue without drop down menu.
Something I would like to try that I think would look sharp. Move the greenish pictures to the middle under welcome to Capital First Home Loans text...right where market news is currently. They would be horizontal (purchase a home on the left and zero cost HE on right) Move market news over to the left in an enclosed box starting to the left of welcome to Capital First Home loans, and travelling down the left side.
Also,
The picture in the middle is not quite right. I like the picture in Jkershes profile. The cloudes give a really nice, uplifting look. The family does not strike me quite right at that angle... Mainly the arms cropped is not right. If you have a picture of a family celebrating a home in the distance, or clouds... something like that.
A few other things :)
The green needs to be a little less transparent... It may also need a slightly different shade. This green is coming off a little more "mint" and the other green more sharp. It is possible that it is just the transparency, but I am not sure. The words on the top nav need to pop a little more. maybe larger font, maybe all caps...not sure. The clickable options are a little flat. I really would like to get all of the nav on the top. You may make the primary picture more dominate and move all nav to the top. The picture could even have a caption over it similar to the way www.quickenloans.com has currently.

Red Chilli-
You are bringing some good game thusfar. A few things... Can you eliminate some of the grey are around the page? I don't know what is envolved to do that, but it seems a little too much background... I know I could always update the picture, but do you have any that are more in line with where I operate (Cleveland Ohio) The picture on purchase a home fits a little better. I don't necessarly mind the nationality of the people, but the house in the background is more spanish influenced more typical in California. I just was thinking the info should be in line with those whe are likely to log on. See if you are able to put "apply now" and "Chat live" in the top section. Maybe in the upper right hand corner?
The pictures at the bottom seem a little too distant... but that may be nothing. It just seem a scroll a littl ways to get there. That could be eliminated if the grey space could be minimized though.
also,
any ideas for a landing page template?
Submitted design #44
Revised.
I meant inside page when I said landing page... I guess I am dumb:)
Red CHilli-
The "welcome to Capital First Home Loans" I would use the same blue as the top and possibly use a slightly darker blue on the boxes... It is just slight though. When I first react to the site the blue is a little too sky and comes off a little light. But maybe not. Give a look to adjust and lets see.
Ah okay, I guess dumb is not appropriate, its just a mistake =). Anyway, I will be also doing the inside page and submit it as soon as I get it done, meanwhile I will restore back the old boxes color and color for the title you mean. Btw, thanks again for the input.

Latest one.
Looking pretty sweet.
I still might like to see the three pics along the bottom a little higher up... After the "Welcome to Capital First..." could you keep the first paragraph, eliminate the second paragraph, slide the pics up a bit and then maybe incorparate a "Learning Center" under the pics? Check out design #40. I like what they did with the learning center link. That might do it...
Oh.. and I still think I'd like to see a slightly different main pic. I like the one that JKersh used istock #3444418. It's a slightly different shot of maybe even the smae people... There's also #6173067... I just like the clouds and brightness. I think the fact that they're wearing bright clothes helps too. Or maybe something totally different like a face close-up, similar to design #40. See what you think. I just want it to look fresh, bright, and current!
okay, got it. But I have a problem right now about the pics, I run out of stock photo credits and havent buy yet. Anyway, lets see what I came up, with the latest changes. Thanks again for the feedback.
Gotcha on the pics. No sweat. Two things... you swapped the pic out in the lower left..(I am guessing that was to us it in the main box or something) But I would swap it back in... I liked it. The words on the boxes on the bottom to be centered (they are leaning a little left... it throws the look off a little) The 800 number and words are better in #33 (800 in lower right corner of picture and words without the small links on them on the left side of the picture. The green is still not quite right. I don't know what it is. Experement and see what you got. IT is still coming off a little minty and not neony... If that makes and sense. I have been revising you to death huh Chilli. It is looking sharp so far.
The revisions are okay, as long as I can deliver what you want and thats what I am happy about. Okay, I will try to rearrange things and lets see what I came up with. Thanks again for the input.

Updated design.
I think this may be one of the last revisions. Items... Logo at the top is half grey (I know that it is part of the sheen, but are you able to leave just the logo white... or does it end up looking wierd?) Eliminate the learning center at the bottom. Add that to the Nav in the top bar where it says sellers as a reagular part of the nav. You got the green nailed--it looks good. I would shift the boxes back down.. I think it looks a little scrunched now. Something I totally forgot on the bottom boxes... it should have a wrap that encompasses all the boxes that says apply now. kinda, sorda like our current site... but just something to encompass those boxes that the person know are "apply now" You are looking great!

removed watermark from the main picture. =)
Thanks for the comments. I have read it just now. I will be doing the revisions and submit asap.
OK. You are the best.
btw, if you have a way to incorporate the learning center... great.. I like it, I just could not think of a place on the screen that it would not look out of place.

Updated version. Please let me know what you think. Thanks again for a very nice feedback and for all the comments you put on all of the designs, very equal and competitive. It is really a fun contest. =)
I like it red chilli...one last thing... Are you able to change the scale without changing everything? Murai's design comes up filling more of the page...I imagine you have to rebuild everything, but if you are able to just press 125% and it goes the full length... by all means. If not, it looks good. If not... it is looking good. I will give it one more lookover, but I like it. It is really a three person race.
You are going to murder me... my manager pointed this out... The green is very similar to Third Federal. That is OK, but I don't want to be accused by them of coping. I like it, but I also like the orange that Murai used. If it is not a big pain, give the orange a try in lieu of the green areas. If you use the orange, the blue may have to be tweeked. Just out of curiosity... how long does it take to adjust the color like that? Is it a 5 minute thing... or forever? See how the orange would work.
ooops I just got signed in. Lets see, what I came up with. It will not take that long. I will send you another color variation in just a few minutes.
I hope you can wait for my revisions. Thanks.
It will not take long. Cheers.
Submitted design #80
revised.
Like the new colors... the tabs in the loan track look good... the tabs at the bottom I think need to be more orange and less yellw. It is tough to say. You may try one with an orangish gold and one with a burnt orange. If necessary, tone the blue color to be a little darker.... but it may not work with darker blue. Punch up the gold/orange at the bottom for sure
also,
little smaller on the words in learning center and try a script similar to other submissions... I think that would look good.
Submitted design #93
revised.
Red... As is looks pretty good. If you feel like it... adjust the orange and try a dark blue like Jkersh. If not, the site is strong. It is really down to three designs at this point. maybe four. I have no idea how I am going to make up my mind. btw... I am able to get the file "layered" right? My programmer asked me if it was a flat jpeg or layored... I am sure you know what that means.
The orange... try the one Muuari used in the picture box area. I like the way that hits. It may not work with your concept though.
You may also try just the boxes in an orange and leave the gold on the outside. It may be poop, but it may look good with the added color.

last thing Red. The word information on the top nav is misspelled (too many i's) The bottom boxes should be just these words
Purchase Refinanance Home Equity
Try all caps like the nav bar... I think that will be best. Don't remove any other designs... I may go back to some that you have done for final version... but I like where you are going.
Okay thanks. I think I have to unwidraw my other entries. Thanks for the feedback.

Looks good red.
Thanks Alison.
You are going to think I am insane... but try dark blue and/or lighter blue (same blue as used in other areas of site) for the letters inside the orange boxes. It may be a good old fashioned bag of dog poo, but it may look right
I am thinking dark blue.
