    #1 Please don’t include the whole web site, we are interested only in a logo and how the logo will stand on its own two feet. Please also read the brief in full, we are not looking for “.com” to be added to the logo, thanks for your submission.

    Cheers for the submissions so far, I want to make it clear that I will give feedback to everyone and that at the end of this process even if we don’t use the logo (we are confident we will get one we love) we will still award a prize, we guarantee that will happen however couldn’t find a button to say so in the brief, oh well.

    I am very pleased a number of you have taken the time to enter this contest so I do want to give everyone feedback however I want to be as careful as I can not to say the wrong thing and send people down the wrong path but also to get feedback from the other directors in the company. It’s all ready interesting how people are like different things they are seeing, and I don’t want to stop someone developing a style that has mileage just because I said something different, in a completely different logo if you understand what I mean.

    When you are thinking about the balance of the logo i.e. the symbol and the text, the symbol should be incidental to the name, or at least on the same scale but not over powering or larger than life. I know the symbol is probably the hardest to come up with and you put the most work in to that but just because it was the most work doesn’t main it has to be the main part of the logo.

    Just PayPal accountants is all set up for that, can also do UK Bank Transfers and UK Cheques if that helps anyone but noticed most people are abroad and is why we went with PayPal.

    Had a meeting today to discuss the ideas that have come up. Here is some more feedback. Note that new designs have been submitted since this meeting, so this is not a cover all reply for them, I will get around to feedback and ratings for these shortly.

    Targets and Arrows have failed to impress, most staff involved in looking didn’t rate any with targets or arrows, mostly because the ideas have been done so many times in our sector and no one felt that the ones submitted grab their attention.

    Blue’s, Black’s, Grey’s seem to be working well. Designs with blue in them seem to have people picking them out over others. One of the directors is very keen we keep blue as part of our image however I understand that a design can have the colour changed later so as long as your happy to do that then great.

    Some designs are a bit fussy, with lots going on, indeed some really nice designs showing up but need to remember to read the brief with regards to modern, clean, simple, professional being strong wants.

    Hope this added information helps in the last 2 days of the competition. I have left lots of feedback and plan to offer more. Each working day I am reviewing the ideas with other people in the company. The final decision will be mine but also respect the other director’s views as we all want to get the company a logo we can use.

    I would like to add that overnight people seem to be saying that a colour in addition to blue is ok, as a few of designs discussed today have an additional colour other than blue, black or grey. While not what I was originally told to give in the brief, I think the seer number of people ignoring the brief and going with what they think has actually had a positive effect in making us think about having an additional highlight colour.

    Competition among a few of the designs is very tight right now. Keep up the good work.

    Hi All, thanks for taking part in the end it came down to 8 designs and while each of these 8 designs had different people supporting it in the office, one design had more votes than the others. That design was #130 by aliaslopot so well done.

    It’s been an interesting process and I plan to hold more competitions here soon. One thing I found was what an initial though I liked was easy to be changed when the new spins on things came in, writing a brief and trying to get a logo everyone is happy with is no easy task but I think everyone for patients and effort they have put in.

    My understanding is we are to hold a website layout competition next, just the design layout no coding needed so you are all welcome to take part once I am sure we are going ahead with this.
