Btw I could animate (flash) it for that price too... some transition/menu/hover effects if wished.
Both #16 and #17 are good variations on a theme, and the best design thus far. You need to add the bottom call to action copy provided that should go below the logos, and use all of the copy provided (some is missing above the logos, too), and the logos are not Partners - please remove that designation but the framing is fine. I need to ask about the photos - any cost to use them? I may take you up on the animation, too, if you are selected. I would like to see the sub-page design that works with this as well (use the colord nav version, please).

+ I don't know what you mean. But If it is text I have forgotten - keep in mind that text is not crucial at the moment. It can be changed/added/removed at any time later. We now look over the main design-laytout.
But you can still explain me what exactly you meant so I can know/keep it in mind for later when/if I should make the final page.

Nikolai - on 28, assuming you make it to the final few, I will want to see a more bold sub-head, and the firewroks in the lower right can go - they detract from the text there. Don't need the sub-page now, I guess - will later most likely.

on 29, what I meant was to bold 'Quality Fireworks - The Ramsey Tradition' so it stands out more. Maybe more than bold, perhaps a tiny bit larger, too.

OK, Nikolai - you are in the top two. Here is what the client would like to see changed on #40.
Please REMOVE the four fireworks images at the left. Center the sub-head and text in the remaining smace, with the sub-head (Quality Fireworks - The Ramsey Tradition) a bit larger AND the body text a bit larger. Then center the five logos under that copy, with that other copy below like you have now. Be sure to underline 'Contact Us' at the bottom and 'attention to detail' in the body copy as they are hot links to other pages on the site. Keep all the other elements (fuse, flare under the sub-hed, etc.) Finally, please mock-up the secondary page so we can see what it will look like. Use 'The Ramsey Difference' copy and underlined links, etc. I am only asking you to make these changes, but need to see them to make the final winnier selection.
You also said you could perhaps animate certain effects for the same price. I am interested in what you would suggest - it should be minimal but would be appreciated as long as you are talking about animated GIFs or similar. We do NOT want a Flash site.

Almost. On 72-73, try placing a little more vertical space between the fuse and the sub-head page title, and have the sub-head and body copy align all the way to the left edge of the design, still with the logos centered on the Home Page, or perhaps just a tiny bit indented but left-justified. Make sense? It just looks unbalanced right now, but it is very close. Do not force justify the text on both sides, but it should look more even under the logo and nav. Go wider on it, in other words, and make it all look totally balanced.
I totally forgot using the whole horizontal space... kinda limited myself to the "partners". Will fix it now ^^
