Brief Summary

THIS CONTEST IS NOW NARROWED TO EXISTING ENTRANTS WHO ARE MAKING MODIFICATIONS - NO NEW ENTRIES ARE NEEDED - THANKS!

This contest follows the logo design contest held previously on 99Designs, and includes both a home page and sub-page design for a fireworks display company. A great opportunity to earn $$ over the holiday. The winning design will get $600, and the runner-up will get $100. Submit early and often, please!

Brand Name
Ramsey Pyrotechnics
Description

The Website design should be on a black background in which the logo will work, and the navigational elements and other graphics recommended by designers should play off of the logo. The navigational section names to be included are, in order, Home, The Ramsey Difference, Our Displays, Experience, and Contact Us, and each is a single page as indicated in the copy offered for use. Navigation names should be accompanied by some related graphical element such as a fireworks burst similar to the logo element, or make the nav button a firework graphic. Be surprising.

The design should be forward looking, consistent with the logo, and represents the company's image of professional, high-quality fireworks displays, delivered with integrity, care, and attention to detail. In addition to the colors used in the logo, additional ‘fireworks’ colors of green, purple, or silver may be used. If other colors are used, they should work consistently with the hues and intensity in the logo. Type fonts used for headers, navigational elements, and body copy should also work well with the logo typeface, and we seek creative uses of san serif fonts or serif fonts or good combinations. Actual fireworks photography may be included but only if you own the rights to use them, and only if they can tastefully be incorporated into the overall design. The preferred look is one without actual photography of fireworks.

Both a Home Page and representative Sub-Page design are required. Please submit the two pages as two entries or in large enough size to easily see both pages. The form factor is to the Web safe area of 1024 x 768, so specifically 968 X 578. Please design to this form factor only, with an emphasis on all content being ‘above the fold.’ Navigation may be oriented either vertically down the left, horizontally across the top below the logo, or other surprisingly creative yet intuitive approaches given the limited content. The Home page should include a brand ‘quilt’ or other organization of the five logos of the client’s key customers in a manner consistent with the rest of the design.

The deliverables required are both layered PSD files and HTML for the two pages. If you do not have the skills for conversion to HTML, please do not enter this contest.

The logo design files and associated Website copy and other needed logos for the home page may be downloaded at this link: http://dev.543group.com/RamseyPyrotechnics/index.html.  For the Illustrator file, be sure to add the ‘.ai’ to the file name when you ‘Save As’ to save it off correctly to All Files.
