Thanks for your entry. I would prefer mono or two tone. No gradient. A simpler. Put the 37signals logo next to yours and see what I mean.

lets give this a shot. it's "sound" comin gout of the top of a persons head, but still very iconic. the person's smiling because they did it themself and the sound waves double as the idea that the person came up with when the "did it themself"

Overall, a bit too simple. Wow, can't believe I'm saying that. Umm, it's simple, but not in a timeless kind of classy way. The smiley face thing isn't mature enough for my audience.
It makes me actually cringe. Sorry, but I have to eliminate!

No, the logo actually made me cringe :)
The new one doesn't make me cringe at all. It strikes me as clever. The original was just... I don't know something about the eyes and the "child like finish", all I know is it made me cringe! :)
I think there is much more merit in the new design. Perhaps it could be more of a "light globe", or headphones (I tend to stay away from headphones though - most of our community like big SPEAKERS)...
