Actually, I think the 1 star was a mistake. I like the idea of this layout, but it needs some more elements to make it REALLY stand out. Pictures of happy college students holding packages for sure, and that menu needs a lot of work - it is very dark and hard to read.
I am looking for layers, creativity, and a bit of fun here. I'll give you a 2 here, but it really needs improvement. Thanks for your hard work.

I've tried a vector style illustrated website, hope it's what you asked.
leaves and ornaments are draw by me, two stock from istockphotos used on the "create.." button.
comments are very welcome ^^
