I think this is a GREAT start!
1. I'm not sure about the orange/tan color. Maybe try it with a light gray instead.
2.I would like the background to look a little more stylized, maybe rounded edges?
3. I really like the way the paintings look like they are lit. I think that is great and maybe you could try to accentuate that even a little more.
Thank you for your submission and I can't wait to see you push it a little further.

We are totally jazzed about the direction this is going!
1. Love the gray background and the gallery lighting in #23 but the frames around the images don't really work. Try it with the frames that are in #21
2. Try making the footer at the bottom of the page dark gray and have the edges line up with the box above .
3. Not crazy about the color of the big text box. Try a toned down tint of the red or also try white or super light grey. Those colors might work better, I'm not sure.
4. I like the way the menu bar at the top and the small box are black, but try making the words in the menu bar white or super light gray (keep the lines in-between the words red.

Thank you for making changes. I think maybe I didn't explain one of the aspects of the changes well. I liked the small box with the text ("Art on the Block") the way it was before when it was black. The color I wanted you to play around with is the color in the large text box (the color behind "Welcome to our site"), maybe try red, very light gray, or white. The remainder of the changes you made look good, thanks. The gallery lighting on the images looks awesome!

this design has bit of gray as u say super duper light gray behind the big text
and i have increased the amount of gray making it bit dark gray as the complete background for the page
