Here is my contribution, as always, I try to go with something simple and clean. I hope its enough modern and not to basic for your taste. I'm looking forward to some feedback.

the look/style is good. no argument there, but it doesn't look like you've read the brief in terms of what this project is for, what it represents, and what elements were desired in it.
the first one looks like...some sort of flame or dragon? i don't see what that has to do with city entertainment, dining, etc. ...second one looks like a 1/2 moon or smile. w/out any context it's really hard to tell why the design is the way it is or what the elements in the design are, what they're for, etc.
Yes, I misunderstood the brief, sorry. I will make a new effort tomorrow. Thenx for feedback.
