Brief Summary

Design a logo that takes into consideration consumer frustration and helplessness over skyrocketing fuel prices, and gives them a sense of empowerment and hope that they CAN get their gas costs under control.

The site URL is HandsOffMyGas.com, and tentative tagline is "Take Control of Your Gas Bill"

#1 - I like that this design has a bit of "attitude", but it's a little bit on the spammy side to me

#2 - I like that this is a clean design, but the design is too "techy" (I've seen this font on IT websites), and I'm not sure why there's a heart around the gas pump.

#3 - This is an elegant design, but too elegant for the kind of website I'll be developing. I would like the logo to be more personal, more bold and representative of personal empowerment. Also, the logo should incorporate ".com" after the title.

#4 - This design is the closest to what I'm looking for. The forward slanting of the text gives the sensation of moving forward (which makes me think of a car - very appropriate), and it uses the colors I specified. I also like the font used. The only thing that's missing is a sense of personal empowerment. I'd like site visitors to take one look at the logo and associate it with power, with taking control of their gas costs. Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions for how to convey that in the logo!

#5 - I like the clean lines of this design, but I don't like the fact that the URL is broken up into two lines (the statement "Hands off my gas!" is meant to be read all at once, and breaking it up into two lines might confuse site visitors). Also, it doesn't use the colors I specified.

#6 - As with some of the others, a nice, clean design, but the rocket ship doesn't signify anything related to gas to me. Also, ".com" is not in the title, and the tagline is too small.

#7 - This is good. I like the use of the three specified colors, as well as the prominence of the tagline. If possible, I would like to see the gas pump with a circle and cross through it (like in design #11, but with the gas pump encircled, instead of a hand).

#8, #9, #10 - I like the different look of these designs, but I specified the colors red, white, and blue in my brief.

#11 - I like your idea of including the hand with a cross through it, but as there are many websites with that symbol, I think it's lost its potency. Also, the tagline is too small in relation to the title (I find the tagline is overwhelmed by the title).

#12 to #17 - I like how these designs remind me of NASCAR, but I don't like the title in all caps (it's hard to read). In particular, I like #15 and #16, but would like to see how they look without all caps (i.e. only the first letter of each word should be capitalized).

#18 - the car is a good idea, but it's a little too ordinary for me.
