my thinking is that it will be valuable to show some metaphor for "pets" while keeping it as general as possible so as to include a wider range of animals.
in this case i have used paw type symbology..this could be seen as dog, cat, turtle, feret etc.
perhaps we could change the left one to the outer shape of a wing, so as to include birds in this mix..but though i'd see what you think of this first.
the logo albeit subtely alos forms a C and P combination
