Brief Summary

Starting a new website called Ask the Boater (www.asktheboater.com)
Need a new creative logo that I can manipulate for the banner, business cards, and other marketing materials.

Description

Logo will be used on the banner of the website, for branding, on business cards, and marketing materials.

It should be simple and flexible so that I can change out colors and also use black and white when necessary. Logo should look good on a dark gray or black background, and be able to be reversed to look good on white.

I will have many photos on the site which will include pictures of boats, anchorages, food, and eventually some videos. The site will provide resources for people who enjoy boating.

The new theme for the site is not loaded yet, so ignore the current layout in terms of your design.

Wants
  • Not married to specific colors, but the website will have mostly black and charcoal gray background.
  • Design needs to be simple, flexible and contemporary, so as not to take away from other graphics on the site.
  • Web 2.0 look
  • Would like vector art in AI CS3 format and also psd version. Must have editable layers and font names.
  • Want to be able to convert for favicon and gravatar.
