    looking at it some more i think the bottom alignment is my recommendation.

    the data part of the drive lines up with the word data, and the paw lines up with retriever..

    im really liking the new layout direction. its better the more compact a logo is, so good call on this.

    ok, here's an update request for you - following massively popular feedback on your design, I'd like to ask the following (if you have time):
    - change #4 to red instead of orange
    - correct the spelling (Data Retriever) - my bad, sorry about that!!
    - see what you can do about making it more of a rectangle - you'll need to put 'data' on top of 'retriever' somehow, with the logo on the left or right. I just need it more business-card shaped if possible.

    #4 is fantastic. The 2-colour design is catchy, and professional. Love it. This will be a serious contender - no suggested mods yet, but after I sleep on it I may come up with something. Cheers for your efforts.

    im going to play with this concept in a more 2 dimensional format..

    right now there are too many gradients to make this effective across multi media.

    but overall i want to present the idea..the swooshing band of color with the paw print, retreiving the data on the cd..let me know what you think!
