    Thank you everyone for your submissions. Here is some feedback...

    Overall, I'm looking for something a little more professional and less cliche. For example, Graphix-Your design, to me, has a "textbook" style. It's not what I am going for. I like #9 the best so far, but it doesn't mean that this should be the direction that you go in. I like its simplicity and use of graphics, Very clean looking. I hope this helps. I will continue to provide feedback as more submissions come in.

    5-1/2" x 8-1/4" or 6" x 9" are standard sizes

    how about something more like penguin books cover? those are simple, classy and very catchy ?
    anyway, Iøll try to make a submission... are bold fonts and vectors something you'd like ?

    Perhaps try flipping the "official guide" part and the title? Probably keep the same text sizes, but emphasize "winning proposals".

    CH, it doesnt seem like you're seeing designs like you have in mind. Is it possible that the designs have helped you to figure out what you DONT want? That would be a help, aside from what you said above. If youre not looking for a text book look, then how would you describe what youre looking for? Would it look more like a webpage? magazine cover? a brochure? Designers try to make something recognizeable (which you may be taking as cliche) .

    Hi Zoey and all. Thank you for all the submissions. I have rated two of the graphics with four stars. This is what me and others in the office like best.

    We absolutely want something recognizable, we just don't want the typical stock photos used, i.e. puzzle pieces, group of professionals. However, if it works then sure, we would consider it.

    All the designs with one star indicate that there is no interest in that particular design.

    It was between Zoey and Vibe (so close). Sorry Vibe- the concept just worked better for the content of the book.
