Brief Summary

MeetingUniverse.com (MU) needs a new landing page which will eventually turn into a web portal. PHP is the desired language. Page should be designed to optimize SEO compatibility. Design chosen could be implemented across all pages in site so let your creativity run wild as it could mean more work in the future. The logo could also be centered around the initials "MU".

  7. Can you expand on what you want in the template? ie What you are referring to when you say "portal", Does there need to be a menu for back pages, long page vs several short pages. Is there a structure that would be beneficial to your content, 2-3 column, equal columns vs 2narrow+1 wide?

    Not trying to pidgen hole the design just need a little more direction.

  8. First let me say I am very impressed by many of the designs presented so far. I am extremely busy with a variety of things out of the office today so I won't get back to any of you until tomorrow. However, to answer some general questions.

    1. Color scheme. Should be attractive. Green and blues seem to be used quite a bit in other sites. I like the look but worry somewhat about looking too much like others. Yellow and Black and White was the old logo. Sentimentally I like it but definitely NOT tied to it. Have also seen other portals/landing pages in red that I really liked.

    2. Template - Should lead to the three tools already listed on meetinguniverse.com. Separate icons versus the current screenshot buttons could be used. For example here is as link.

    I like the cohesive feeling of the clevertools.com site.

    I would like to keep an area for text for SEO purposes and obvious explanation purposes. I do like the template that BLT created but maybe with icons instead of screen capture picture buttons. Also a menu that includes the current toolset as well as somewhere I can put additional tools would be helpful. Currently there are 3 tools implemented with at least another 3 planned so the design should probably keep that in mind. As for structure of columns etc. not too concerned other than making sure it is easy to use and easy on the eyes.
