the logo has ZZZZ in it or ****** - please remove the charactors to read the logo. we do not want search engines to pick the name up. please do not write the name in the comments section below.

this company is a financial firm. they help sell other businesses and their first name is ExitZZZZ and their second name is PartnersZZZZ. additionally at the end of their name is LP.

LP is similar to Inc. and sometimes uses periods such as L.P.

I am not sure they want to include LP in the logo but they might. we should try the logo with and without LP

    I think as a contest holder you can pay more to not have it driven to in a search engine. I'm sure jhewit's point was that as designers we don't want to insult a ch by mis-spelling their name so obviously we need to know the proper spelling of it.

    ya i hear ya..................but come on.............. i think it is pretty obvious what the name is in this case. what needs to be done is 99 designs needs to create fields that the search engines cant find!!

    I just googled it, yahoo'd it and msn searched it and it doesn't come up so I think you're safe. Additionally, there's no shame in having work specked out this way so why are you so concerned. Just curious...

    all contests have risk because the possibility of the client or contest holder not finding a logo they like exists. In this case we have been paid in advance and assuming enough logos are created it is extremely likely a winner will be paid. we have only done 3 contests and in one a winner was not announced although we are speaking with one of the designers and it looks like we have resolved the situation. the second contest has not ended and we plan on awarding a winner in that case.

    NOTE: As a caution to designers I'd wait until this contest states "GUARANTEED MONEY' in the tag at the top. Until then I'm not entering (I entered the contest in April which ended with all the designs being ignored).

    is there a way to include the idea behind the company into the logo - that they help sell a business for the most capital?

    that they help develop an exit strategy (to sell at highest price)

    also maybe even something simple might work. here is the largest broker in the world;
