    What up Aaron,
Took some time to address your feedback, as well as read some feedback on other designs to make sure I wasn't missing any of your thoughts.

Went through the design and cleaned it up, had some time to really brush up everything and give ever aspect the time it needed.

    Main changes made:
Sized down the Song windows in the Buzz Board to be more screen space efficient. Also added small boxes (they are empty gray boxes now) for where award icons can go when a song wins one. I don't do much icon design at all, so I figure that's best left to those who have done more of it.

'Polished' everything more to get the shiny web 2.0 look you are going after.

Added video and footer, as well as News windows along right side.

Hope you like it and I will look forward to hearing some feedback.

    Thanks
    Chris

christopher, let me say that i love the idea about the 'hotness' guage. those are the type of ideas that i am looking for in my goal to build a team of designers who can work together for building this project into something huge. these are pretty clean graphics, but i especially like the graphic that you did for the guage. in the buzzboard, i would like to see the play button and section under the song info be developed a little bit more. the play feature isn't very easy to identify, the graphics in the board need to scream 'CLICK ME!'

would also like to see more '2.0 glaze' throughout the design. when it comes to the guage, you pretty much nailed the glaze well. the other graphics could still be made to entice this young generation of iphone and smartphone users. the welcome box is nice, but we'd also want to see video on the main page as well. also, would like to see the rest of the development.

looking foward to seeing your revisions. good work!
    thanks!

    Whats good man,
First submission. Is not complete in terms of all the content you want on the main page (have not added a footer, and I only have 5 mock song windows shown).

I thought a cool idea might be to have a gauge next to each song that goes up and get red-hot as the songs get buzzed more. I also thought having user comments flashed randomly below each song would be a cool addition.

I added the Random Jam button you talked about in the brief as well. It is pretty predominantly featured on the right side.

I thought that the 'Welcome' box would be a nice segway into the rest of the site for first time users, and perhaps when a registered user logs in, it would be replaced by an informaiton box (maybe suggested songs, or a 'buddy list' sort of thing...just some ideas).

Other then that though, I was just looking for some feedback. I tried to achieve the web 2.0 glossy effect you are after without trying to overdo it or make it look cheesy. I know your going for a very professional look. Before I go on detailing the design, I just wanted to put up a sample and get some feedback.

    Thanks a lot!
    Chris
