eye-catching pressed paper ikon

So far I think both Entry 1 and Entry 3 are working really well. What would this look like if those circles were purple Us. Then it would related back to the name a little better.
Regarding design #4
For a mini icon it might look good if you took the "Press" part rotated it 90 degrees and replaced the text with a big U.

I think entry 3 is working better than any of these. b&c are getting too cluttered trying to combine the graphic with the text, though the begining of c could work for the mini graphic.

I'm really liking your designs but think 1 is better. I like the "book" angle on this one, but I don't think it really reads that way. I'd be interested in seeing some other variations though.

I think I'd like to see some other colors on all 4 of these entries. The vibrance of Entries 1 and 2 are working, but I'm not crazy about the specific orange and greens you've used. 3 & 4 have a great graphic quality, but are a bit too subdued.

Well, I was trying to make up an example for you, but I don't have photoshop or illustrator installed on this computer, and I can't use gimp to save my life, so I'll just have to describe what I'm talking about. In P1Guy's second entry he gave a version of his logo as represented on the side of a book. While its not the same calibur as your work it illustrates what I'm talking about. Most publishers have a defined logo that they use instead of their name on the spines of books. If you look at this photo I found on google image search you will notice a lot of the books have a vertically aligned stylazed graphic that is legibile from a distance when a book is on a bookshelf as such. A stylized R or P, a tao symbol, a diamond, etc.

Was that clear?
We really like the "PRESS" logo you have here, but also want something related to go on the spine of a book. We were thinking the "PRESS" part of the graphic, rotated 90 degrees, with a squeezed U in place of the word PRESS might look good.
