    Tom, I don't have any recommendations for photos -- I was just clarifying that this was an option if called for in your design.

    If we did choose to pick a picture is there any kind of pictures that you like?

    Man that sounds really confusing... really I just wanted to know what kind of pictures you like so if I do go that route you can have great view of what the final piece would look like!

    Further comments:

    Please don't change the logo colors, except if you're going to monochrome reverse as in #15.

    Also, I think we're going for a graphically strong look, which is seeming to rule out pale colors. Feel free to try them if you think they look good, but it seems to be a common theme in the entries that are being eliminated.

    A couple further pieces of feedback:

    I would like to encourage everyone to include alternate renderings of the interoperability graphic -- that's one of the big things we weren't happy with in our original version.

    Also, if you think it's artistically appropriate and must use a photograph, you can use an unlicensed one from istockphoto.com and if you're the winner I'll buy it. This isn't to say that photographs are necessary or even desirable, just want to present the option to see what you come up with. Thanks for your participation!

    Wow, lots of entries since I last looked! Working on feedback for everyone right now, but wanted to highlight a few pieces of global feedback here first:

    * Printing costs on this aren't a factor, so limiting the colors used should be an artistic decision, not one driven by printing considerations.

    * If you're using the graphic element from the logo, please don't rotate it.

    Look for feedback on your individual entries shortly.

    It includes a vector version of our logo, which needs to be included in the final design.
