- Brief Summary
-
Austin Neighborhoods Council, referred to as ANC, needs a kickass logo for its new website now in development. Both the acronym and the words it represents will need to be somewhere in the logo. We'd like the logo to represent ANC's attempt to bridge the gap between Austin's natural beauty--green space, trees, rivers, lakes, small bungalow type of homes--with the skyscrapers that are being erected downtown.
The colors might reflect a soft aqua representing the water features of Austin and a soft lime green to represent the greenery. Feel free to play with different shades of the colors and see what you think looks great.
Your work will make a difference to the future of Austin, TX. Have fun, y'all!

#4-Great design, but we're looking for something less rigid and more representative of the local neighborhoods, water, space, sky. Softer letters and the contrast of colors.
#-We like the feel of the water which you represented so well with the curved line. We'd like to have some stylized representation of the city, the neighborhoods, and greenery. You got water so well.
#1-We really like where you're going with this logo. You've got the sky, the skyscrapers, the greenery, and the water. We like the friendliness and the whimsical nature of your graphic. There's an "s" missing from the word "neighborhood." It should read "neighborhoods. Could you make an alternate version with Austin Neighborhoods Council larger and to the right of the logo so it could be more visible on the website?
We're really pleased and happy with everyone's work so far.

Correction, the comment "We like the feel of the water which you represented so well with the curved line. We'd like to have some stylized representation of the city, the neighborhoods, and greenery. You got water so well." refers to #2.

Fantastic work, folks. We are overwhelmed by your creative designs! #1 and #5 really seem to be zeroing in on what our organization is about. Would it be possible to somehow incorporate the smaller, more humble houses into this style of logo as well? We'll be meeting to discuss the many paths you have opened and will be back with specific feedback for your work. Thanks again- keep 'em coming!

Thanks steved... ANC, just curious, would you like me to try to add houses to #1 again? Or, did you prefer it without?

Knol, we dig the idea of small houses as seen in a lot of our favorite entries. But with your design, the original simple version stands out as the most complete.

Contest over! Well done, people. Couldn't have imagined we'd see so many great designs. We need to convene and discuss who will be the winner. Not sure of the policy here, but it shouldn't take more than a day for us to decide. Thanks again, everyone.

Slight delay- our meeting to decide the winner will take place on Sunday evening. Expect the result then! Sorry for the few-day wait.
