for the contest Logo for Akande Music & Publishing
Submitted design #13
For your consideration. An updated version of your existing logo, nothing too deviated, in 2 versions. Feedback please.
I'm feelin' the three dimensional tab! I particularly like the second one. Could you also submit one with a Century Gothic font, lowercase? I like the way that font looks on my business card, so I am curious to see how it jives with your logo rendition. Thanks.
Ok, that's alright. I'll submit that version soon.

Here's the version with the Century Gothic. Vertical, Horizontal and "just dots" versions.
I'm really liking your stuff so far... is there any finishing touches that you can add to the logo to give it even more flavor? Not sure how to describe it, but I guess it would be similar to the difference between your entry #72 and entry #58 (winning design) for the contest #7086 (logo for wedding designer)... not looking for the same exact effect, but just something extra...
Also... what fon did you use for #13? I want to mock up my current card with that font to see if it jives...
I used Segoe UI Bold Italic for #13... I'll try to add up some effects, and perhaps some background options.
Submitted design #32
Just a sample on dark background.
I'm loving it! Maybe a little lighter on the background effect? I could see this version (#32) at the top left of a webpage, where the gradient gradually goes to black as you pan to the far right. If I select your design, will you be able to send Photoshop 6.0 versions of all of your submissions?
...hmmm I may have to go with the original font... the more I look at this, the more I see "adidas" (www.adidas.com)... not eliminating the font, just have to think about it...
Of course, the background could be made lighter. Yes, it's possible to export the files in Photoshop.

With the original font, lighter background.
The competition is thick... some other really cool designs out there, but so far I think I like yours the best. As an update to your version of the logo, could you make the orange dots just a smidgen smaller? Not much... just a little...
Submitted design #51
Are these small enough?
Yes... thanks. To put it all into perspective, could you do a quick site mock-up like helveticaaaaaaaaaaaa did (#61 & 62)? I'll run a separate contest for the website design, but being able to see what would be my new brand in that context may help to wrap this all up.
Didn't have time to upload the mock-ups. You may see them at http://www.revcruz.com/akande.html .
