I like the direction of the globe on #1 - it's got kind of a cartoony feel to it and i like how the green stands out on the globe but i'm not crazy about the palm tree or the fonts for the type.

#2 is difficult to read because of the gradients and i'm not crazy about the globe...

Anyone else submitting should feel free to try their hand at the other two directions i provided with the houses pool of water.

I like the cartoony vista style.

Note: as long as that unheathly Warning remains at the top of your contest, designers will avoid entering. :( For more concepts & designer participation you may want to utilize both the star rating & feedback features. I'm sure it will encourage more to participate :)

#4 - the houses look really cool, but the bubble and tress around them seem out of place. I will keep it in the running because i like it, i'm not sure it it will do it without a little work, though.

#5, #6 - that doesnt look like it would be vector based. Am i wrong?

#s 5 and 6 are both done in Photoshop, which in my opinion, is just as good at vector art as Illustrator. I have worked in both.

To Advanst - Sure, but is the picture within the O a vector image? Will it scale up as a vector or is it a bitmap (jpg, gif) image? I like the look, i'm just worried about whether it will work.

Ryan - It appears he used a solid raster image (Picture) in the middle of the "O" - As far as the heath rating, now that you provided stars & feedback it changed to a green healthy :)

You can see it next to the prize amount & # of entries :) - if you click on it, it drops down & show the stats of the contests.

I'll do some revising for you some time today on my entry :)

Thanks for the tips, scorpion, this is my first contest. We're a software consulting firm, so if we get a good result from this, we could definitely start using this instead of the designers we keep on retainer for some projects.

    I really dig this concept!

#7 - Great design! The houses and palm tree are perfect, but i think with globe it's got too much going on. Maybe if we dropped the globe and had fewer, larger houses around the palmtree and water we'd be looking solid.

Also, not crazy about the font. Check out the font/type at www.fusemail.com for a good example (i dont want to have fun with the type :-)

#8 - The bottom left one without anything but the houses is great. I'm going to keep that in the final running.

    Nice work.

#10 I think the look is a little too primitive. I like the more glossy high-detail look. Think of the Windows Vista icon for the JPG file-type.

#11, #12 Thank you for your submissions, but I thought these felt a little too 80's style.

    #15, #16 - NICE WORK - Don't change a thing.

#14 - if you cut out the bottom 90% of that logo and only left the palm tree, 3 houses bunched more together and the very top part of the globe you'd be right on target.
