We are not accepting new designers at the moment as we have an established direction with existing entries.

Wanted: A professional looking web site design for a trade association representing independent grocers in California - Bonus Prize is Possible!

California Independent Grocers Association (CIGA) is the leading association for independently owned grocers and grocery markets, not corporate chains, for the state of California. CIGA strongly promotes small business retail grocery related outlets as a political advocate and provides programs and services to lower costs for stores. In a sense, CIGA fights for the "small guy" in a "big guy" dominated market within the state of California. California Independent Grocers Association dearly believes in their mission to give small grocers a fighting chance to compete with national or regional corporate chains.

CIGA is rebuilding their entire web site, from the design to the content. They are not a giant corporation, but need a professional look to convey an image of "strong enough to fight with the big guys".

    Sounds like a lot of work if you ask me. Good to see you've removed the requirement for coding from the brief, as coding is not provided on 99designs. Make it a guaranteed contest and I'm sure you'll get lots of nice entries.

    Hi!
    Would you be okay with photography from Corbis (http://pro.corbis.com/)? I find that the quality of their comps is far better (+ unwatermarked for members), and the variety and quality in general is higher.

    Making a website with a professional look with a that kind of logo will be a huge challenge. Any chance you can remove the chrome effect?

    Although we said no changes to the logo ... YES.

    CIGA Logo (Chrome) copy.jpg has been added to the logo area accessed through the description. I enlarged the size to leave more quality as you reduced size to fit the design.

    This is just a follow-up from our notice above regarding the guaranteed entry. We have paid for it, but there is a delay in the bank transfer between our bank and 99designs. As such, 99designs indicated that they can't post the guaranteed notice until the funds are in their bank. We understand their reason for this, even though we would have liked the contest guarantee right away to provide more assurance to the designers.

    Just a suggestion to anyone looking for stock photography. Since this trade association is representing grocers/markets within the state of California (in the USA) - using stock photography for the state capitol in Sacramento might be a good idea and provide a little more relevance than other government buildings.

    Thank you 99 Designs on the extension of this contest. What a country, cute animals, fantastic beer and now 99 Designs!

    Since some have started to show second pages, Fire Up wants to make sure everyone understands our feeling for the current site. It should be shot, burned, shredded and buried in the darkest of dark places. Please base nothing on the current site. There is a reason why the brief said there was nothing of value there.

    Because of the American holiday this weekend we have not been able to feed designs to the client, so we want to take all current designs to the client by 9am -7GMT Tuesday the 27th. That is >>not<< a final dead line, but we want to start the next phase to start winding this contest down to the winner.
