Brief Summary

Our client has set himself a challenge to break a Land Speed Record in a jet powered car which is being custom designed. This is potentially going to be a high profile site and therefore needs to appeal to its target audience. Ideally the website should portray high speed, challenge, man & machine.

Refer http://jetblack.webz.co.nz for the logo and an image of the car. Although the brand name is Jetblack, the website does not necessarily have to incorporate too much black.

  2. As the car is being custom built I presume there is no image of it yet, but it would help to know the livery colours that will be used, to have confirmation that it will be long and thin in design like those illustrated on the other land speed sites and whether you are for, or against, the inclusion of the New Zealand flag in the design.

  5. The car is black and as you described it web-bod (similar to car on thrust scc website provided in brief). Sponsors will then be able to purchase advertising space on the car. I will get advice from client re NZ flag. We require a design only (no coding). Happy to provide more information splashingcolors - what specifically would you like answered?

  8. Is there any chance that we can get a better image of the car, the one you link to is a bit pixelated. Thanks

  16. Thank you to all designers for your entries. There is a great standard of work here for our client to select from. We will provide feedback and select a winner as soon as it is decided upon. We'll be in touch!

  17. So my last efforts aren't even worthy of a star? I take it that they're really not what the client is looking for then?

  18. A note to all designers: As mentioned above, we are very happy with the quality and range of entries in this contest. We have posted various feedback from our client as we have received it. 99 designs encourages star ratings and feedback to designers so we have given both throughout this contest. Unfortunately we have not been able to give individual feedback to everyone; however please do not consider that your entry has been discarded until it is eliminated. No star or low star ratings simply mean that either 1) the client has not considered your design yet or 2) it is not what the client is looking for (but not yet eliminated altogether) or 3) it is similar to another entry submitted so the client is yet to rate it. Given these three possible scenarios I would suggest that no offense is taken from the feedback given (or lack thereof) and please be patient and allow the client to consider each design and select a winner. We will post more feedback as it comes in from the client.

Given that this is potentially a high profile site, the client needs to ensure he chooses the design that best meets his needs. He may also require additional changes from the winning designer in future so I would suggest that although his first priority will be picking a great design, he will also take into consideration the attitude of the designer he chooses as it may require an ongoing relationship. Given that he can only gague attitudes from the comments on this forum, I encourage you all again to be patient and await more specific feedback.

If you feel like your design(s) have been overlooked, I would encourage you to post comments with a friendly tone rather than midjudge the cirumstance.

    Thanks and regards to all.

  19. I apologise if my last comment was deemed unfriendly. I only asked since the entries before, in between and after mine were given some feedback, so I was left wondering. This is my first contest too so I am still unsure of the process. Anyway, thank you for your reply.

    Good luck to all. :)
