RE: #1 I like the way the logo element is offset/skewed. Wonder if the arrows could be abstracted a bit more and create an "AM" in the space around them. Don't know if that would work. Looking at that element, I see the negative space around the arrows as much as I see the arrows, so maybe that is something to explore.
RE: #2 That looks familiar.

Crap, realizing my reference to the number eight may be confused with design number 8 (although there isn't one yet).

To be honest, I'd really like to see #7 inverted and black&white version or printed on paper, since that are the things that logo MUST specify. ;-)

is there a tagline you wish to have?

I am really liking #13 and #17.
RE: #17 I like the earth and the arrows. I think there is a bit too much orange overall, though. I like the shades of blue in #13. Perhaps having only the arrows around the globe and the little beacon on the i be in orange. Then maybe use a blue for the word "Aggregated?" Not sure about how to treat the earth in terms of color, tho.

RE: #11 I like the idea of showing the quote bubble. It kind of suggests that we're bringing all of the web conversations together. Might be something to explore a little more.

RE: #3 I like how you layered the element to the left of the text; however, I liked it pointing the other direction like you did in #1. Perhaps you could try an orange layered element angled the way you have it in #1. Inside the orange element, maybe there could be some abstracted arrows or a cool "am" treatment. I like that this is heading in a direction different from the original concept.

RE: #22 I am really warming up to the idea of quote bubbles. I like that this one is more square with rounded corners (rather than an oval). I'm not really into the handles, but it was interesting to see something a little different.
Perhaps you could try bringing in multiple quotes (since we're trying to bring content/comments from all over the web together). It could be something subtle like what dotmariuz did in #3 where the quote bubbles are stacked one on top of the other with a slightly different color/shade for each "slice."

RE: #13, #20: I think I still like #13 the best between #13 and #20. I would like to see the arrows be a little more tightly integrated. If you use 3 arrows (maybe it would require 4), could you get the points of the arrows to fit together more neatly so that there is an equal amount of space between them (and so the arrows seem to fit/lock together)? Just a thought.
Also, I like the two-tone blue globe, but the outer dark blue border seems a bit too thick. Maybe if the border (which I like how it is thinner at the top and thicker at the bottom) were thinner and the continents didn't overlap?
Also, really like the idea of the shadow underneath the globe element here.

RE: #21 I really like the layout, font and elements; however, I think the colors may not be right (and, yes, I know I suggested them :)). I like the globe in blue, but I would like to see some different treatments of the text and arrows in terms of color. Also, if the arrows could be a little more stylized (highlight color or add some depth/dimension to them) that would be great.

#28 I like this idea. I wonder if you could try the "nodes" on the logo element in a different color (maybe the blue). Perhaps the "burst" graphic behind the globe could be black or gray and the nodes could be the blue.
Like the font a lot, btw.

#30 I like where this one is headed. I would love to see the wireframe on the globe be a little more 3-D (i.e. to look a little more like it is wrapping around the globe). Also would like to see what a media gray or black might look like as the "Aggregated" text.

Of these two, I like #34 the best. My only concern is that the globe gets a little lost due to the size (and my suggestion to use blue for the "burst"). Perhaps, the burst could be changed to orange and the size of the globe could be increased so that less of the burst is seen behind the globe. Not sure how that would look, but I feel like the logo element needs to feel a little more like one cohesive unit.

I like #25 the best out of #25, #20 and #13. Would like to see the arrows a little neater where they meet. Right now, the spacing between the arrow heads is a little off. Also, there is still the issue of the dark blue area of the globe being a bit too thick.
It also might be interesting to see what the arrows look like coming straight around the globe (i.e. one on each side).

#29 This one is a little too bold (for lack of a better word, sorry) with the all caps text. Would like to have the logo element be separate from the text so that it could stand alone when needed.
Might be interesting to see the orange band as two arrows coming together in the front (rather than a solid band).

#42 I love the fonts used here, especially the handwritten tagline font (even tho we haven't settled on a tagline yet).
I think this one could standalone as text only. Might like to see the word "media" differentiated a bit more (either with boldness or color).

#44 and #45 are definitely my favorites of the bunch. I like the way the blue "pedals" (for lack of a better word) are blending into the globe. I wonder if the arrows could be removed and some lines could be added within the pedals to imply that these elements are flowing into the globe.
Also, I like the little RSS beacon on all of them. My only concern is that it is too much like engadget.com's logo. Maybe it could be on another letter?

Thanks for really taking the time to comment on everyones logos, really helps when there is this two way discussion.
I didnt comment on your concern over the RSS logo being too similar to Engadget. I personally think they are different enough to get away with. Engadget have used a looser variation of it with more arcs. I have just used the standard RSS icon and added it to a suitable curve on the letter rather than just adding it to the end as Engadget have done, looks odd to me personally.
It really only fits this way on curved letters, adding the icon to another letter looks odd. So on the recent submissions, I have just added it to the i letter obviously using the i to make up part of the logo, i think suitably different (and better!) than Engadget. :)
