This an excellent first shot...I really like the lay out....If you could make the tan area on the front of the card: "The purpose Retired At 32..." bigger, so it is more readable....make it as big as you can without affecting the overall layout that you have....
The back of the card with writing is excellent....I think I can rewrite that to something that is the copy I would want each person to see....
If you want to leave the back blank, you could use the printed postcards to hand write notes, run a few through a printer with a custom message, etc... -or- you can have the same message.
The "The purpose Retired At 32..." is at 12 pt Arial font and is actually too large by normal standards, but I needed to fill the space. 8-9pt is the standard. You're looking at a composite, so it seems smaller. It will be very readable when printed.
