Hi Jeff,
Here's my entry for your contest.
When I read the brief I really wanted to capture the rodeo atmosphere in my design. Hence the wooden paneling and dirt. I know you've requested a minimalistic design, but I hope you meant that in the sense of the layout, not the actual graphics used.
I'm not 100% happy with the header image of the pasture, but I'll work on a revision if you think my design is going in the right direction.
My entry is designed with a fluid layout in mind, which means the iron sidebars and the sky images are repeatable.
I'm always open to suggestions, so feel free to leave comments.
