here is my design for your contest.
I have tried to give a modern cubist art feel to the logo aswell as keeping the design looking simple and clean.
the image is vectored so it can be any size and also fonts and colours can be changed easily.

Mark, I'm torn on this one. I like the design alot, however I don't see it translating well to a fav icon. I may need something simpler.
I'm going to meditate on this one.

okay ive had a thought,
what if you simplify the design of the favicon like this but still keep the full logo when using in higher resolutions. This means the logo is still relating with the favicon just simplified.
I havee added two options on the favicon, 1 with the dark grey squares and 1 without.
I hope this idea appeals to you, if not i will keep thinking :P

here is the design with an Adobe influence from all of their CS3 products. Using the Am standing for Artful Medium in the red box allows us to create a fav icon from the main logo.
Its just an idea, feedback welcomed.
Thanks for the additional revisions. I have a pretty good idea of where we can take this. Don't worry about an additional submission for now.
