I will submit uncoded. What would be the price loss?

I'd have to find someone first to see how much it'd cost to code it up. If anyone here is able to do just the coding, please PM me.

According to the price guidelines, a one page design only minimum is $250. It appears you need to 2 pages designed and coded, therefore, theh prize on offer just covers the design portion of this contest. http://99designs.com/help/prizes
You would probably have to negotiate with one of the designers who are also coders (these are the ones that you need to attract this contest), to do the coding for an extra fee.

PS: You could also try and find a coder at the SitePoint Forums "Looking to Hire" section, but be careful that you select someone on the quality of their coding/markup, not only on price :-)

I'm sure you'd get many more entries if it not required to be coded, including one from me :P

Some people don't have the least notion of all the work it takes to provide a good web design service.
I would rather be working selling newspapers on the street then do this.
Some tips any of these people should know. And should be on the submit new contest area in BIG RED LETTERS:
. This requires extra study. Design and coding and mostly at expensive schools or University. Or smart self thought people.
. It takes years to produce quality web design PLUS THE CODING
.If a page design takes 10 hours(just design and sometimes with tune ups and extras takes much more) and the price money is 500$ you get an average 50$/hr or lower. Now how much does it get a specialized professional in any area?
I know truck drivers that get almost that an hour. So less work and almost same money. Why design then?. If it is a contest the stack should be even higher cos only one wins.
.It is a work in constant evolution. You need to be learning it all your life to keep pace with others.
Now knowing this would you like to be a designer if such lack of notion a client would have of your work?

Hi,
I have just signed up ith this site and come across this contest. Me my self i am for more than 10 years in this industry and can delivery HQ but not the the budget arranged for this contest...basicly the thing you want done is not possible to be done for the $560. I can do both, design great layout and code it into clean hand coded CSS & XHTML that passes validators.
My design will use dummy contents and no actual contents from your current online site. What i can do for you is design a full template ready to use exactly based on your site structure but will be charging atleast the double of what you have available as contest price...let me know if you are interested.
Thanks.

Hi,
This is my first contest posting and I may have made the requirements seem more complicated than it is. I'm not looking for a whole site designed. Basically a home page designed along with a section/category page designed. I've seen other contests posting similar contests unless I didn't interrupt it correctly.
I posted the site structure only as a reference.

I will submit a design and will code it as well. This amount is good enough for me.
That is why it's a contest. You don't have to enter if you don't have to. Stop giving the Contest Holders a hard time about the price if you don't want to participate. I can do this for $560 and I will do a good job designing and coding. (XHTML/CSS valid code.)
By the way, I learned how to code by reading books and tutorials. It is not that hard...

buddy guidelines are here for a reason and people like Nadia try to inform the CH about them because sometimes the CH don't read them or miss something. Take 1 minute and think why they're here bud :).
ps: XHTML/CSS are basics one of the reasons you might charge cheap ...

Jepoypalaboy, thanks for the designs. Looking good. I'll try to get feedback on the design asap.
