The white on the pics seems a bit harsh, this of course can be toned back.

A rough example of an interior about page layout. Further nav can be added to the right-hand column. The top nav is always present for easy, uncluttered and familiar direction
Thanks

Tried for a custom look over a template example.
Unfortunately it was the long weekend up here in Canada and I didn't have a chance to work on the design. Please keep this in mind when viewing - this entry is a bit rough around the edges but this of course can be smoothed out in the post-contest design process.
It is a flexible design allowing for a variety of inner page customizations. The colour scheme and layout can be adjusted further to the clients wants and needs.
Design Notes:
* simple front page, designed to be friendly and professional. it directs the audience to specific areas of interest where they can be elaborated on in detail on the interior pages * categorical overview allows the audience to get a sense of what doggonit is about*- feedback is appreciated! and open to suggestions thanks

Hi Liz,
Thank you for the entries. I don't really like the font used or the wood grain background. Also, I think there are a few too many things on the screen(down at the bottom).

Same general idea but reversing the banner and category areas. Any combination can be used.
