    Here's my initial proposal for you. I've also used a character with a cane - to give the 'proud' almost regal quality. I thought exaggerated perspective might help convey the concept of a tall man.

    I have further designs with the man wearing a suit and top hat if you'd prefer, but this current design is more minimal.
