winger, thank you so much for taking the time to participate in our contest! We really do appreciate all the effort the wonderful designers of 99designs take to create these web mockups!
Now for the comments!
#24: This is one sharp layout! Very good use of space, though we'll need to re-arrange some of the items! You are the second four star design! I really like this layout.
Let's work on the main banner a little. The logo and text probably need to be a little bigger. You might try moving the logo to the left and increasing th text size. Let's also make the space the banner takes up a little less, it causes a little too much scrolling. Let's also try a gradient on the backgound starting about the bottom of the logo and down to the bottom of the page. The overall look of the extra space is a little too dark. The main site is great though!
We are a maintenance/repair/inspection company first and foremost, and we need to make that a little more apparent on the main page. Let's try to incorporate the mouse (animal research) and the wrench or water a little more into the main page. (It could be the banner or anywhere else... let's see what you think!)
Also, the Subscribe & Testimonial area can go away, let's make that a News/Update area. Heading with one line of text (Heading darker than the text with one sentence max or bullet)
Switch the "Why Washer's Inc." with the Our Services box and make it "Why choose Washers, Inc.?
I very much like the menu bar and the layout of the page. The banner needs some work but this is a nice design. A little too dark overall (though my opinion is loose at this point...lol)
I really look forward to seeing a revision!! If you have any questions or any of my comments are not clear, please leave me a message or PM me and I will get back to you as soon as I can!

I have a question on the background for the main area of #42... Is there a specific design to it, or is it just kinda there? I think I see a drop in it but I don't know if you blended other images in as well.
My wife tends to like the darker backgrounds, so you're obviously in our top designs.
Let's see the banner with the logo to the left of the "Washers, Inc." and increase the size of the text a little. It just seems like some wasted space in the banner.
I'd actually like to see you try your hand at re-designing the banner to your tastes. I think that my tastes are not creative enough. Let's see what you come up with!
Let's increase the size of the text in the menu bar and bold it. It's still a little hard to read in #42. It just seems small..
I really should come up with a tagline shouldn't I... I'll think about that one. I'm really having a hard time coming up with faults on your layout! It's really good and a great use of space to get the point across.
I wonder if we could use icons to the left of the news items.... I don't know if that would work though. Maybe drop it down to two news items and have little icons or pictures. Maybe web 2.0... hmm... What do you think?
You're still one of the top designs... we're still lacking that wow factor, but it's functional and attractive. How do you think we could get that wow factor?
#24 is out based on the redesign!
The background is a blend of an iceberg+water (just wanted to depict the purity) and yes the drop that you provided with the pack is also blended in. I'll redo the banner if you're not all that interested in it. Other revisions coming soon.:) Thanks for the detailed feedback.
