for the contest Logo for Vivature
Submitted design #5
This is my design where the "V" is stylized into a logotype. Web 2.0 colors and reflections added for you to see what it looks like. Let me know what you love and hate about the design.
Submitted design #6
This is my second attempt where the "V" is not only stylized, but the "V" is also a stylized person, interconnected at the arms. This time, I omitted the Web 2.0 reflections to show you that the logo has enough strength to stand on its own without accessories. :) Hope you like it. As before, please let me know what you love or hate about this design so that I can improve.
Innershell, the graphic for #5 is intriguing, but I don't see the font selection as working well with the image. Entry #6 appears to have "i"s falling around the graphic, and won't work for our needs.
There is some good feedback regarding design #5. The v becomes so compact that it really isn't much of a v any longer. Maybe a revision could be the complete design shape without the use of a v as each side? Just a thought.
Thank you for the very detailed feedback. I will make some changes and submit a new proposal.
Submitted design #50
Here's what it would look like on its own and a little sample of what it would like as an edge to a triad circle.
I'm still getting great response to entry #5, but the font needs to be modernized and the graphic doesn't need to include "v" composites. Maybe double lines instead? The smaller image for entry #50 is also interesting.
I am glad there is a great response on #5. I am very proud of that design. Is the font in #50 modern enough, or would you like me to try other variations?
PS I will submit another entry for the smaller image in #50 for you to have a better look at it and a few other design variations along the same theme.
Submitted design #84
Here is that little tiny one expanded and altered the font to a more modern one.
Submitted design #85
Here is the original design with the updated modern font.
Submitted design #86
Here is the new design you requested with double straight edges instead. I think the logo is very nice and in a way (depending on how you rotate it), you can say that the logotype is a "V".
Design #84 at a larger scale looks to be three v mouths eating each other. The update to the font in #85 is helpful. Design #86 lost a little fun when the graphic became more compact and severe.
Submitted design #107
Small tweak to the color (darker) and added some style to the text as well.
Design #107 shifted in two directions. The color shift is good, while the modification of the A looks out of place.
Submitted design #136
I am glad you like the new color of the logo. The font can easily be changed if you like the logo. I will work with you on picking the right font if you like the logo. Here are a few more font options and styles to consider. I added a solid white shade of the logo for how it would look on black and white print. Also giving you a "powered by" icon to use throughout your application.
The "powered by" tag line will be used in certain versions of the complete logo, but never alone with just the icon. In the middle version of entry #136 the tag line is used correctly, but not proportioned well to the rest of the design. If we select you as the winning design, we can work on these tweaks. Thanks for your efforts so far.
