I'm really drawn to the sweeping shape of the 'G's in this design. They have the kind of creative flourish that I am looking for. I also like the way the 'Gavin Gough' font contrasts with the more traditional 'PHOTOGRAPHER' text. Although it's a simple solution it has a certain elegance that I like. I think the only thing missing is something in the design to convey the specific sort of photography that I do. I wonder if it would be possible to incorporate another element to convey "travel" or "photojournalism" or something similar in a style that fits with the existing elements?

Hey Gavin ... I did not notice your comments until after I made my second submission. In saying that I think it does get some of the point across that you are trying to make. I will work on this some more and so please let me know your thoughts on the last version. Thanks!
I really thought you'd picked up my earlier comment and submitted this in just a few minutes. Imagine how impressed I was! I think the globe is a good idea and I like the fact that it's a kind of stylised globe rather than a more uniform one. However, the word 'PHOTOGRAPHER' gets a little lost against the globe and perhaps it starts to look a bit too crowded in the centre. There's definitely potential here though. By the way, I love your winning Zuzu's logo, it's very smart.
Hiya, with regard to the colours, I think both are fine and I guess it'll be pretty easy to alter them when the design is finished if necessary. I probably prefer the green overall. Also, is the font you've used a standard font that I can download or buy from somewhere? I'm not asking you to reveal the name if you don't want but I ask because if it is I could produce other elements on my web site and business stationery to match. Just thinking ahead...! If it is something I can get hold of then perhaps you'd tell me if yours was the winning design? Thanks again for your input, much appreciated.
Hi, I'm going through all the designs and eliminating some to reduce the numbers so I can make sense of what's left. I've kept one of yours in and hope you'll be able to submit some variations on this theme. I'm keen to see them. Thanks.

I worked the world into a kinda abstract G that also acts as the camera lense. Hope you like this. I will be submitting something else as well. Cheers again!
Hiya, I still think your original, simple design works best for me in fact. I'd like to include another element if possible so will look forward to seeing your other design. I think the only problem with the abstract 'g' is that it doesn't match the text below. Always good to see more though so keep 'em coming ;)

Hiya, I'm just going through the designs and eliminating all but a very few and am sorry to say that I'm going to lose yours. There have been some very strong entries and although yours would have served perfectly well, the more recent ones have a stronger concept with them and seem to fit with my stlye of work more completely. I'm really grateful for your input though and wish you all the very best with your future contest entries. Many thanks.
