I'm posting this same message to all remaining entrants: I just want to double-check that you will be able to supply the logo design in scalable, vector format, and against both light and dark backgrounds. Please confirm what formats you will supply.

Also, will you be happy to continue tweaking your design after the contest ends if yours is the winning entry? Please PM me to confirm that this is OK too.

    Many thanks.

    Gavin

Thanks for the positive comments. I like the new design but when I compare them, I actually prefer the rounder version. It feels like there's something else here that I'm not quite getting so I'm going to look at it some more and see what other ideas I can come up with.

well we are nearing the end of this contest, sadly, you have been a great ch, my best yet Id say so a big thank you to you :) well I tried and tried the eye idea and this popped up v4 the more I look at it the more I like it personally (beauty in the eye of the beholder) but yes it has got an eye appeal but also with the colours an ever more landscape appeal too. See what you think. I dont envy you, good luck. Need any further alts let me know :)

Hi, yes, it is uncanny how the eye looks similar to the Nepalese eyes. That's no bad thing and I wonder if we can work on that. You've done the circular logo, which is good and I do like the sweeping curves that you've incorporated. Is it possible to also do a more eye-shaped icon? Rather than the round globe, perhaps something that ends up being a stylised version of the eyes in the links I mentioned? I'll leave it with you to judge what you think looks most elegant ;)

    Cheers.

Yes, it's looking good. I'm just running through the other entries and whittling down the field to the final few and I'll come back to you with further thoughts. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

hi Gavin, firstly thanks for the great feedback, glad it hit a spot for you. taking on board your thoughts here is a revised design shown alongside original for easier comparison. icon now more round in shape and in better proportion to type. spooky how my icon looks like those eyes, purely coincidental, uncanny. Appreciate your valued thoughts and direction :)

Also, I meant to say that this reminded me of the eyes seen on temples in places like Kathamandu (http://www.choicesadoption.ca/image…nepal2.jpg) and (http://www.buddhismus-biel.ch/Bilde…ayambu.jpg). I don't know if that was intentional or coincidental but perhaps there's something in that 'eye' design to serve as inspiration?

This is the design that I've liked most so far on first look - which out of over 100 designs is pretty impressive!

I love the colours, the flowing design and the eye inside the circular shape. I also think you're right that the font can afford to be more professional if the accompanying logo has a free-flowing look to it.

Now I'm going to be hyper-critical and say exactly what I think can be improved. The balance of the icon against the font seems slightly askew, the icon is too large beside the text. The overall shape of the icon forms a kind of squashed circle and I wonder if the shape would be better if it were more circular? It may not of course and it might look better as another shape entirely but I'll leave you to play with the options.

I've probably looked at it for far too long now but I've also started to see a face in the design with the brown area being the chin, The problem with that is that it makes the face that I'm seeing look a bit grumpy or disapproving.

So, my thoughts are that you've clearly understood what I'm looking for and I'm with you on the reasons behind the design concept but I also think that it needs some more work if it's going to look just right. Let's leave the font for now as I think it's the icon that's most important.

Thanks for your input. I'm glad you took the trouble to put this together and look forward to seeing what else you can come up with.
