for the contest Non-Profit Law Organization Website Re-Design
Submitted design #10
Here is what I've come up! I've divided the content area in 2 main section (main and side column) and ised the grid system at grid system at www.960.gs. It can be easily converted with CSS.
As a solution for the sponsors I added a horizontal scrollbar, since there are quite a lot of sponsor images and this way the end-user can scroll them manually or they can move slowly automatically.
The fonts used are web safe: Georgia (for the titles) and Arial (for the content). The fonts in the main navigation are anti-aliaced, I had in mind using images for the menu tabs, but if you want plain text, it can be easily accomplished with the "sliding doors" CSS technique.
I'm still thinking for an ideal image for the header banner that "tells a story", but if you like this one it's ok by me.
If you find this design suitable for your business, I'm willing to experiment with color variations, design details etc.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Zlatko

The home page with the correct logo. Sorry, I didn't realized I was using the wrong one.

Just finished the inside template and I'm open to suggestions on this one as well.

The inside page with the latest changes.
As you can see I added the menu on the left side, but there is a downside to this - the main content area is shortened in width now and from my standpoint it does not look well. Also I removed the tabs navigation.
If I were to choose a solution, I would leave the tabs above, and then if a main menu is pressed and if that menu has some sub-menus, I would show them to the right above events. That was my intension in the first place.
Hope you'll like the idea.
Ah one more thing. Since I changed the banner graphic from the images you suggested me, maybe it could be a flash header and change the photos automatically with an interesting animation. Just a thought.
