Brief Summary

We manufacture and modify motorcycle seats.

Our website: www.saxonseats.co.uk has the wrong feel, the logo and overall style is too 'heavy metal', and not as luxurious as we would like it to be.

Our company image needs to appeal to owners of all types of motorcycle, from sporty race bikes to hardcore choppers, so the design needs to be fairly ambiguous, yet desirable.

We are pushing our company in a new (higher class) direction, to grow and stand apart from the crowd. We need to change from having a back street garage image, towards being the most recognised company in seat design and modification.

We don't want to have the 'hardcore' biker image associated with most bike builders (no skulls, spikes, chains etc), but would like to be seen as the high end professional choice for seat modification. We're thinking of the luxury image associated with brands such as Rolex, Breitling, Rolls Royce, Bentley and Prada.

    1. Hi Vic, Thanks very much for your entry! We're thinking of the luxury image associated with brands such as Rolex, Breitling, Rolls Royce, Bentley and Prada. We're looking for something a bit less bold, we need the whole thing to imply excellence and class. We're not keen on the font choice in #1 but the layout and colours could work... would love to see another version, best regards, Adam.

    2. Hi Miumail, thanks very much for your designs, I like the way that you've used stitch holes in the diamond, it could work really well as a feature.     3. As a general note, I think that I prefer SAXON SEATS written in capitals...? I've just had a look through myfonts.com and I quite like Basilia and Aviano.

    4. Please have a look at www.saxonseats.co.uk/brand.html to see one of our own ideas. This uses Anglo-Saxon Capitals for the word saxon, and Amador for the main S. We like the leather shape, but we feel that the overall style isn't quite right (and the anglo-saxon capitals look terrible when you write 'seats')

    12. Yes, Wukasin's entry is brilliant, very clean and refined.

      The reason that we are continuing to push for ideas is that we suggested the leather symbol, we feel that we may be slightly blinkered by our own design preferences!

      All outside views on our aims are greatly appreciated.

    15. Hi, I can confirm that the leather symbol with a single S was our original concept, ( www.saxonseats.co.uk/brand.html) so this format is open to all designers. In fact, we would like to see as many different approaches to this as possible.

    25. there are 9 or 10 alone on the frontpage ( and probably alot more throughout the whole competition) that have used the same font as Wukasin' #35, #190 #188 #181 #119 just to mention a few. If the font is availabe on a freefont website, or already including in a design package such as fireworks, illustrator or photoshop then its free for everyone to use. just my thoughts :)
