for the contest DO YOU THINK OUR LOGO SUCKS?
Submitted design #15
Initial concept:
Giving life to great ideas!
Some colour options also for consideration.
why is your initial concept not the tagline? the symbol is handsome, but not so obvious. or am I wrong? this have potential :)
Submitted design #34
Thanks for the feedback!
I wasn't sure whether you required a tagline - I've included it here.
As for the symbol - it represents a butterfly taking flight after leaving it's crysalis - hope that's clear enough. Rather than using an actual butterfly I wanted to use an exclamation mark, as that fully symbolises the birth of an idea.
The bottom design here has a new colour scheme and I've also added some shading to the design. I can take this further and give it an even more 'web2' look if you're interested???
Cheers,
PB
a tagline was optional, but your work looks much better now. as you can see I rated #34 with three stars. so I'm interested of a more web2 look :D
pb, is it too similar with the MSN logotype - colors and motif?
Submitted design #111
Hi,
Having just looked at the MSN logo, I don't think this design is very similar.
I've used lowercase type and a different typeface from what's used on MSN. The symbol, whilst being a graphical butterfly, has a very different shape - so you won't have any problems with copyright etc.
Here's a new set of designs using an earlier colour palette. I've also done different variations of rendering, for the icon and the title.
If you'd like to see a different typeface used for the title, I'll try one, but I did choose this one over many others as it suits your company name.
Let me know if you'd like to see any further amendments.
Cheers,
PB
I really like the new colors - professional, stylish and trendy business. excellent. which one do you like best? left or right? I go for the left I think...
should we do an animation? giving life to great ideas - from chrysalis to a butterfly.
if you have time, make a page header to the homepage...you are really close four stars!
Glad you like the amendments ;-)
I prefer the one on the left too so that's all good.
Do you want the header page to have the grey gradient fade you currently have? Or are you happy to see what I come up with? The reason I ask is it will effect the colours used in the logo:
Do you See how much clearer the icon is on a white background? Well, it will be that clear on a black background too.
Let me know and I'll get cracking on a header page.
The animation is a great idea, but we can work on that at a later stage ;-)
the animation is a later issue. sure.
they page header don't have to be grey as today, and not solid. it's rather boring. start cracking...
try a page header background in steel and engrave the butterfly...a additional tip ;)
try, try and try...this time, try to decrease the size of the butterfly :)

This is turning into a very interesting competition ;-)
Here's the design with a smaller butterfly. Web page examples on the way...
Submitted design #173
First set of web concepts:
The version on metal. Also a version cut out of the red box fade which you've used elsewhere on the site.
Submitted design #174
And here's some versions on a grey gradient, keeping the colour in the icon. 1 has white text, the other dark grey.
Do you want to see the logo on the left of the page? I put it on the right as there's more space there and the eye navigates there naturally.
Let me know your thoughts and other concepts will appear...
make the logo much smaller and don't fill the butterfly, use only outlines...use the same font and size (verdana) in the tagline as the top menu.
go for the right! what happens if you use the old mypitch-logo font and integrate it into your concept? + all new assumptions above...
fading from grey is the best alternative so long.
Which of the designs do you prefer, as I'll make your amendments on that one (or would you like to see all of them?)
Ok, must have been typing as you were ;-)
What typeface have you used for your original logo?
Also, if the butterfly is just outlines, what colour outline do you want so it stands out? And this will all be grey, with no dynamic colours....
what is your mail address? I'll send the old logo to you. and, get some inspiration about #139, about outline/engrave the butterfly.
I've sent you a private message with my email.
Submitted design #186
ok...here's the amended design:
- I've chosen a typeface which is close to your original logo, but not the same, let me know if you prefer this.
- The whole design is now on a metal effect plaque, with the title, icon and strap line engraved.
- I personally think the strap line is getting lost, especially when you see it in context. It is currently in verdana as requested, but I was thinking it should just be in black like your navigation links.
What do you think???
interesting. you understand me. I agree. use verdana black, same size and style as the navigation links. is it hard to try to outline the butterfly?
make the logo even smaller :D
When you say make the logo even smaller, do you mean make just the icon (butterfly) smaller? The reason I ask is that the whole thing is technically the logo.
Also, once I've put the butterfly as an outline, do you want the 'dots' as just outlines too?
Cheers
make the whole logo smaller....
make the whole logo smaller....
the dots also outlined :)
Submitted design #189
Outlined butterfly and dots, plus the whole thing is smaller.
I don't think it should be any smaller than this as it will start to loose clarity. Personally at the smaller size it might look clearer without the etched style.
Your thoughts?
It's better! :D The last changes is to move down the logo so the tagline is horizontal with the menu links.
Thinner outline lines will probably be better, and maybe even smaller butterfly. So you know, I love minimalism :D
Good work. After the changes I'll upgrade it to four stars.
Submitted design #191
Amended design!
Here the butterfly is even smaller with smaller keylines. The version on the webpage is now aligned with the navigation text.
As you've mentioned you love minimalism, I'm going to do another version soon which moves away from the metal effects and is much more simple and clear.
cool. I really want a header in white :D my love to small things even includes logos...
Submitted design #192
As it happens, this design is on white ;-)
Very simple and clear placement of the logo in red gradient and grey. I've made the 'm' lowercase as I prefer this and thought you might like to see it this way. Obviously the colours can change, if you decide to use different ones for your website.
Concept - 'Less is more'.
I really like a white background. less is more, good. Now I will disappear for a while. see you soon!

Submitted design #349
New concept for you to consider. I've kept this one really simple, working with a creative exclamation mark as the 'i'.
I've also used a different strapline - inviting the viewer to 'create something better' which is what you are all about.
If you're quick with feedback I can get some variations in before the end of play ;-)
I'm not fond of ! and maybe your logo is too dominant. keep it simple. but I like it in some way...

Shift in colour and concept. Little energetic wisps of creativity!
feels like a PowerPoint-solution. standard and not fascinating.
