for the contest New Aircraft Company looking for a sleek, sharp logo
Submitted design #223
Here's one concept...
Very cool... Can you make another one without the vertical tail?

Thanks for the feedback. How's this?
Much better, much better. Can you work on a sleeker and more elegant font, and get the colors in balance. I'll have to get my team to also pitch in... so wait for more feedback as you make revisions.
Can you tell me which colors you'd like balanced? I'm going to submit a couple versions with different fonts for your review on Saturday. Thanks.

How's this?
Submitted design #252
Nevermind #251, this is better.
Way better, and perhaps is closer to what my team members are looking for.
Thinking and rethinking about it... it looks great. How would it look in a letter head, visiting card and favicon?
mind you favicons are 16x16px or something similar and with a 256bit depth.
I'll get you my stationary/favicon today or tomorrow. I think you'll like what I have in mind. Thanks again for your prompt communication.

As copied from the front page:
Hi Folks, my team has finally come up with the following statement:
1. We are delighted with the wonderful response by the designers on the 99Designs site. While we have selected the three candidates as winners of this contest, there are small issues (something needs to be tweaked here or tweaked there). There were many designs that came up in the last few hours of closing of the competition, but were in a raw state, which could've been developed into a more powerful design than the one that we've currently selected.
2. The winners (subject to some small tweaks) are thus as follows #332 is a very novel way of putting sleek curves that represent a birds head and airfoils in a simple elegant shape. Thus #332 is our top choice.
3. #289 is our second choice, however, we would like a dark font (perhaps of the same color as the logo). Even though you have an issue with the Mazda inspired logo, many women who we spoke with loved this over others, their reason was that this logo personified all the elements we were trying to portray.
4. #327 is our third choice. It was liked by the contest holder and some male members of the team very much, although the women were totally not in its favor.
In all of the above there are small tweaks necessary. Since I, (yours truly TAP), am new to the 99designs.com site, I'd like to understand how can we give three prizes? Can we give three prizes and request the entrants to make small tweaks on their logos to finally win the prize or is this "time's-up"?
Thank you, TAP. I agree with your choices, and I appreciate your wish to award consolation prizes. Since only one design can really be used, though, I think the protocol is to award a #1 winner and have the #1 make any necessary tweaks. Then maybe you can send PayPal payments separately to the runners-up.
If, however, you aren't 100% sure of which design is to be used, you might hold a "private" contest for the top two to submit modifications. I have no idea what the logistics of this course might be, though.
